Depths of Dastot, Part Two: Theology, Language, and Magic

There are twelve gods in the world, which we know as Auren. In the beginning, Auren was nothing. Watching over Auren was Aureon the Great, the Shaper of the First Flame and Creator of All. Out of his mind, he created Grasund and Gramund, the Sun and Moon, bringing light to our lands. He then shaped two brothers and a sister to help him shape our earth, as well as a hall in the sky for them to live in, called Esatros. The first of which was Tharagos, the Groundshaper, Architect of Stone. He rose the mountains and sunk the great valleys. Then, Lady Virella, Seer of Destiny, was born. She filled those great valleys with our lifeblood, water, creating the first plants and animals with water's arrival. Finally, Nyxis was born, the Warden of Shadows and Overseer of Life and Death. He guides the spirits of animals to the afterlife, in the Halls of Esatros. Finally, Aureon created Men, the Walkers of the Earth and the ones gifted with Fire.

Depths of Dastot, Part One: The Setting

"Deep beneath the jagged peaks of the Blackstone Mountains lies the forgotten dwarven fortress of Dastot, a once-proud stronghold carved into the heart of the mountain itself, which runs deep into Auren¹. Its echoing halls, once filled with the rhythmic clang of hammers and the songs of stone-shapers, now sit silent, choked with dust and shadow. Ornate pillars lie cracked and toppled, ancient forges long cold, and the great gate—wrought from obsidian and gold—stands ajar, as if something forced its way out… or in. Whispers speak of a last, desperate stand against an ancient terror, of runes left glowing in warning, and vaults that should never be opened. Now, the only movement comes from the wind that howls through shattered tunnels. The things that skulk in the dark, waiting for the curious or the foolish to enter, grow ever restless."

Surviving Tarkov, Session 4 - Looting and Starvation

This session was a little bit shorter than I wanted, however there wasn't really much going on besides travel anyway. The party made a pretty stupid mistake that I didn't want to point out, as they discarded a UNTAR evacuation map, which could have possible had locations of abandoned UNTAR sites with western firearms. Overall, it was fun. This and the last post took a diabolically long time due to unfortunate circumstances.

A figure stands before Demo, extending their hand. Demo greets them, shaking it. They readjust their pack before speaking. "I am Kash. You know, Prapor's man. I'll go with you to the streets, then I will see how I feel about staying with you lot once we get back."
Despite this new figure making a quick entrance into the group as well as them being ill prepared for combat, they take them in. After the loss of Ruslan, there was a void of manpower in the group anyways, and they hoped a new figure would fill it. He didn't talk at all about who he was... or even his last name. He was just called 'Kash' and ignored any other questions.

Surviving Tarkov, Session 3 - Poison Pork

Wow... this session was a doozy. Stay tuned for a surprise, but some horribly sad things happened. In other news, the party completed their first story quest, which was Background Check! The players also got many quests, as well as a large sum of Rubles. Overall, it was a good but sad session.

Standing outside of the Bunker, the group set off toward Jaeger's camp, to inform them of news regarding their missions. On their way, they discovered an odd chalk circle in the woods, surrounded by candles. In the center, what looked to be a pig was sitting dead, however they couldn't really tell. The party, of which only one had night vision goggles, moved towards it with caution. They split into two fire teams, one consisting of Ruslan and Demo, the other Joe and Dmitri.
