Project Terraria: Humble Beginnings

Today marks a somewhat interesting series beginning. I am going to try to recreate items in GURPS from Terraria, using Christopher R. Rice's Meta-Tech. I have chosen the campaign starting value as $1,000, so I would suggest multiplying the costs when using these items in your campaigns if you think they are too cheap. Unless otherwise noted, all of the origins here use the basic Superscience Origin!
At the end I will acknowledge many people for helping me, so stick around!

Hermes Boots

Description: The wearer can run super fast.

    Costs $2,580, SM-4.
    Base Item: Boots.
Statistics:  Enhanced Move (Ground) 1 [20]

Notes: I went with the easiest one to kick this off. Despite the name, they have no actual association with Hermes besides the speed factor.

Band of Regeneration

Description: Slowly regenerates life (1 HP per second).

    Costs $30,007, SM-8.
    Base Item: Bracelet, copper.
    Statistics: Regeneration (Very Fast) [100]

Notes: This one was also easy, though it should probably be one HP per ten seconds, but I went this as this was what voidTownB originally suggested.

Band of Starpower

Description: Increases maximum mana by 4.

    Costs $3,607, SM-8.
    Base Item: Bracelet, copper.
Statistics: Energy Reserve (Magical) 4 [12]

Notes: This was one I also worked out with voidTownB while I was out and about thinking about this project. One of those simple ones, but one that is probably common among most Terrarians.

Cobalt Shield

    Description: Grants immunity to knockback.

    Costs $6,060, SM-1.
    Base Item: Medium Shield.

    Statistics: Strength 50 (Knockback Only, -80%) [100]

Notes: Okay, yeah, there was probably a pre-existing way to do this, but I am honestly really lazy, and it works fine anyways. The cost might be a little intense, but who cares.

Shackle

    Description: None.

    Costs $307, SM-8. Ubiquity: Common.

Base Item: Torc, Copper.
    Statistics: Damage Resistance 1 [5]

Notes: Whatever, this one is boring but a staple and classic. Also, yeah, whatever, I am using a Torc. Sue me.

Aglet

Description: The wearer can run faster.

    Costs $120.25, SM-12. Ubiquity: Common.
Base Item: Beads, copper, 1/12th Foot.

Statistics: Increased Basic Move 2 [10], Increased Basic Speed 0.25 [5]

Notes: Yeah, I made the Aglet hilariously fast for no reason. I wanted to.

I would like to thank Christopher R. Rice for creating Meta-Tech, voidTownB for helping me out with a lot of the ideas and talking to me about them, as well as Gumby Bush and sirpudding for helping me out now and in the past. You guys and everyone else on the GURPS (unofficial) Discord server help and continue to help me almost every day with stupid rules questions. If this proves it's worth as a project and people are interested in this, I will continue this series. Let me know what you think!

Writing on Royal Road

Hey y'all. I have been trying to get back into writing as a hobby (as in, writing fantasy stories), so I went asking around and found a neat place to upload stories. I will try to write here as well, but most technical and worldbuilding stuff is hard to write as another project usually takes precedent due to me jumping around. Anyway, the link to the first story is here and I will work on uploading more of the story there. It takes place in my Zirkeon world that I have been working on, which I might publish stuff about there, but not sure yet. Take care y'all, and thank you for reading.

Depths of Dastot, Part Two: Theology, Language, and Magic

There are twelve gods in the world, which we know as Auren. In the beginning, Auren was nothing. Watching over Auren was Aureon the Great, the Shaper of the First Flame and Creator of All. Out of his mind, he created Grasund and Gramund, the Sun and Moon, bringing light to our lands. He then shaped two brothers and a sister to help him shape our earth, as well as a hall in the sky for them to live in, called Esatros. The first of which was Tharagos, the Groundshaper, Architect of Stone. He rose the mountains and sunk the great valleys. Then, Lady Virella, Seer of Destiny, was born. She filled those great valleys with our lifeblood, water, creating the first plants and animals with water's arrival. Finally, Nyxis was born, the Warden of Shadows and Overseer of Life and Death. He guides the spirits of animals to the afterlife, in the Halls of Esatros. Finally, Aureon created Men, the Walkers of the Earth and the ones gifted with Fire.
