Session Two went swimmingly. The group have christened themselves as the "Hounds", however among others they are known as "Osuzhden". They have completed their first story-line quest for Prapor, marking a huge milestone in their entrance into the political aspect of the world. They have also slowly figured out that the little guy always gets shafted in Tarkov City. And with that? We open today's session.

A Roadblock just outside Customs
Joe grunts in pain, the bullet slamming into his Torso. His armor blocks most of the shot, but he is pretty heavily injured regardless. Demo, the first to react, quickly moves forward, behind cover. Dmitri also moved to cover, preparing to fire at anyone he saw. Next, Ruslan began to execute a plan based on quick witted thinking, involving a rock and subpar throwing skills. However, he failed to find a rock suitable for this plan, so instead he grabbed his canteen. Finally, Joe managed to suppress the enemy before moving away. As Dmitri finally got behind cover, he was fired at by a distant scavenger.
Recuperated, the group then maneuvered themselves and prepared for an assault, with Ruslan throwing a fake grenade over the wall. However, due to his old age, he accidentally hit it onto the wall. In a stick measuring contest, the scavenger that fired at Joe shot at threw a Zarya stun grenade over the wall in retaliation, which pushed Dmitri over the sandbags into a forced attack. As he lept over, the grenade went off, stunning him, but the others managed to get out of the attack. The scavenger took this as a change to get leverage.
"Stop! Put your guns down! We have the leverage here! Surrender or your buddy here gets his brains blown out!" The scavenger says.
"Well, how can we trust you?" Joe quickly retorted.
"Hold on, who has the leverage here? We make the deals here. Food, give us your food. Plus, any cash you have on you. Now!" The bandit said. "Oh, and who sent you?"
"Jaeger, however we're normally freemen."
"We could tell. Take this to that prick. Now, put the food on the hood of the car and let us leave. Oh, and bring this back to Jaeger with you." The bandit said.
After a quick transaction, Dmitri was free again. Inside of a dropped burlap sack, lies a decapitated head of most likely one of Jaeger's couriers, but Joe, who retrieved the bag, wasn't sure. They quickly escaped the area, forgoing any chance to loot the nearby toll office or car trunk, but erring with caution. They retreated into the woods, where Ruslan scouted ahead and Joe tended to his wounds. Once they met, Dmitri had formed a plan to move forward to find the dormitory. With a renewed force of energy, they moved forward.
During his scouting mission, looking ahead, Ruslan spotted the bandits fleeing east-bound along the road. Earlier, when he was captured, Dmitri had overheard a third bandit that the group were communicating with, which he reported to Ruslan later on before he left, however he did not see the others, just the two bandits. After his report, the men buried the decapitated head as a gesture of faith as the head most likely belonged to an unjustly killed man, then they left for the dormitory.
Following along the outside of a wall, they eventually entered back through the wall, going into a hole torn by some sort of explosive, back into the area where they needed to be. By this time, the rain had stopped but the skies were cloudy. The lessening rain revealed the dormitory area, with two buildings being present. Moving towards the further building, a three-story dorm, the group saw a machine-gun nest which held an HMG and many sandbags, but no enemies spotted.
After a quick deliberation, the group split up; Ruslan and Dmitri moving towards a door on the south-side of the building with Joe and Demo watching the door. In a cautious movement, Ruslan opened the door, waiting for contact of some sort. As the door opened, Americans from down the hall of the newly opened door screamed about 'contact' and 'locals', with bright flashlights now illuminating the hall blinding the two.
With some quick thinking, Ruslan made a flag out of a stick and a bandage, waving it. "Stop! Don't shoot!" Dmitri quickly headed over to Joe and brought him over, with Dmitri hoping the American will communicate in good faith.
"I love Tom Cruise! Don't shoot!" Dmitri screamed as he returned to the hall with Joe. He looked to Joe, telling him to get them safe passage through.
"Water is Wet! Don't shoot! I'm an American!" Joe yelled down the hall. "Don't shoot!"
"Put down your weapons! What do you want! Who sent you? Those damn Zavodskoy thugs?"
"No! We are freemen! They call us 'the Hounds'! Please! Don't shoot!" Joe said, as Ruslan scrounged together a bundle of Rubles, which he threw into the hallway as a sign of goodwill, with a smile and a thumbs up.
"Alright, step forward! Someone wants to talk to you over tea! Holster your weapons and don't shoot! The operators screamed. "Come through slowly!"
As the group were brought through, they saw at least two dozen highly outfitted Ex-USEC operators, along with what seemed to be a Quartermaster of sorts, who was trading with the people inside the dormitory, but only in the form of USD. They are brought to the top floor, to a barred room, with black charcoal markings covering the inside. At a table inside the room, sat a man that looked like Gandalf, however with a black bandana on his head and a grenade launcher holstered on his back.
The man motioned for the group to sit down, but kept his eyes trained on Joe the entire time. His questions were in English, too fast for the others to understand for the most part. The conversation grew quieter, before Ruslan, Demo, and Dmitri were asked to leave the room for the two Americans to communicate alone. After about a minute or so, during which the three men stood outside the room talking in thick (and poor) impersonations of various famous American actors, Joe left. He didn't say anything about what their talk was about, but he did say that the man had given them keys to a Semi nearby.
Quickly holding some discuss about their next plans, the group decided to find the truck with the bronze pocket watch, before going to Mechanic's bunker to discuss business with him. During this, they recalled that they actually didn't know where the construction site that Prapor mentioned was. Joe asked around, which quickly got him the location of a construction site due north of the main road out of the dormitory, along with some other minor information.
Going to the construction yard, they secured the area, before locating the three BP Tanker Trucks that they were informed of. Testing each of the doors revealed that one of the trucks was unlocked, which is where the bronze pocket watch sat on the driver's seat. Demo, the man that unlocked the car, returned to the others with a smile, carrying the pocket watch. He handed it to Ruslan for safe keeping, as a child as young as Demo shouldn't be carrying critical mission objectives.
They then moved back south, swinging to the west, into the forests, to get to the bunker. They eventually made it just before the sun began to set, as they took extreme caution before entering. The entrance itself was that of a military bunker, with cameras everywhere, and an intercom inside. Ruslan, being the ballsy scout he is, went forward with the letter he had collected to negotiate with the Mechanic, who hopefully resides inside of the bunker. Informing him of the letter with a push of the intercom, proof of working for Jaeger, they were let inside.
Inside of the bunker, there was first an airlock, where they had to leave any combat supplies, other than weapons that were meant to be used in a mechanical sense. They were only even allowed inside to meet with the man because of their work with Jaeger; this letter was clearly important. They gave him the letter, which he fed into a printer. After that, they asked about work.
"Work, eh? Well, I don't have much time today, plus the programmer unit for PLC100 is out of order, so let's get straight to business. I build various weapons with modifications for my clients, and I'll need some help with it. I need to mod an MP-133 shotgun, but I am short on parts. I need a laser designator, one that will fit a standard picatinny rail. I won't have time to negotiate, and I don't have energy for it either anyway. Get one for me, and I'll pay you well. Oh, the model? NcSTAR Tactical Blue Laser; the ones that all the poor people use. Get on it."
The group then asked about various improvements and pieces of equipment. Ruslan ended up modifying his SKS to have a basic x4 sniper scope. Demo asked for any explosives, though he had very little funds to back this request. Mechanic sold a brick of TNT to him, however he asked Demo to go to the Therapist if he blows his fingers or his hand off. They then had a short exchange about Prapor, including information about how he's gained excessive weight.
The Hounds then decided to plan out their next course of action. First, they want to head back to Prapor, to turn in his quest and grab a new one. Next, they go back to Jaeger, to also get more quests. As they got up to leave, Mechanic mentioned that they could take the northern road through the sawmill, but that they should be careful of the Svetloozerskiy gang, who controls the new sawmill. He thanked them for the message and the purchasing of his services, before motioning them to leave.
What will happen next?! Will the party fight the Svetloozerskiy gang?!
Wait until next week to find out!
