Tarkov City, Therapist's Apartment Building
The group is now back at Therapist's hideout. Dyavol resigns himself for the upcoming mission, instead performing a minor task: trying to get his radio working again. If he can fix communications equipment, he can get the fireteam that much closer to escaping the Norvinsk exclusion zone. The group prepares for the expedition after a short briefing, mostly spending time to repack magazines. The rain has sped up severely.
As soon as the group departed Therapist's hideout, they were ambushed by at least one scavenger. The scavenger shot Medoyed in the right leg, causing a horrible crippling wound. They immediately went back inside, and took care of the wound. After a splinting and a large dose of morphine, Medoyed gave the OK to continue on the mission.
As a group, they moved towards the library. The bottom floor of the library was clear, however, there were odd destroyed pieces of flooring near the door. Priyatel moved in, and walked across one, but only afterwards, became concerned. He checked, and realized that he narrowly missed stepping onto a PMN-2 Anti-Personnel Mine, which would have obliterated him and killed Berkut and Medoyed with the blast. They ten decided to avoid the mines and broken floors.
Moving upstairs, they heard quiet talking in English, talking about the Fireteam's position and to ready an unnamed group. The group quickly moved in after Priyatel threw a grenade at the north wall of the second floor, destroying many books. Priyatel moved north first, then Berkut, while the crippled Medoyed stayed behind to hold down a different sightline. Priyatel quickly dispatched many men, however, one slipped away and threw a grenade at Medoyed. Medoyed quickly hauled himself out of the blast. The upper floor was then cleared.
The group shove most of the books that they find interesting into their backpacks, and then start searching for an office area. One of the rooms has a small meeting area, which Medoyed searches. Medoyed actually finds a small cache under the table, which contains some inactivated mines! He took this.
After the building was looted, the group up and left, moving towards a bank across the street. They stacked up, but as they moved in to clear it, enemies were actually inside! The enemies managed to get a shot off on Berkut, before Priyatel removed them from this planet with a mind-blowing move... literally. Priyatel ran straight in and popped both their skulls easily, triggering shouting from upstairs. The bank itself, at least here, seemed to be empty. Two kiosks with barred windows were to the south. There were stairs to a second floor on the west side of the small bank.
They quickly stacked up on the stairs, however, Berkut was badly injured. Berkut had a Quick-Clot administered to him, and then a lot of morphine, before drawing his pistol. Moving up, Priyatel peeked the second floor's hallway. There was a man at the end of it. After a second or two of deliberation for plans, a grenade flew down the hall. They all ran down the stairs immediately. The grenade went off, not injuring anyone. Within three seconds, Priyatel prepared an RGO impact grenade and threw it down the hall. After it went off, they peeked again, to see two absolutely destroyed bodies. There were two offices up here, which quickly got looted. One of the offices contained an unmarked key.
Moving back downstairs, they tried to unlock a locked door to the south with the key. The key turned, and the door opened. It led to two safes, locked with a keypad. A desk in the room where the two raiders had their heads popped, was a desk. The Fireteam looted it, and found an odd note marked "S A L T" (or "SALT", they weren't sure) as well as a note with a combination on it, which read "970244". Trying that combination, the safes opened, and altogether, had less than 80k rubles. They collected the rubles and then headed back to Therapist's hideout to turn in their mission.
