I actually had this all ready to go yesterday and I never clicked publish. Oh well. I think things will start to heat up soon, hopefully. There is some inaction on the parts of some players, which might partially be my fault for screwing up the pacing, though the actual cause of that in reality wasn't because of me. Anyways, here are the GOSS/SEEN reports:
Increased Military Presence
Responding to reports of orc scouts throughout the County, Zach III of Dirk has upped mounted patrols throughout the lands. In addition to policing his fortified route between Scotia, Nevasa, and Iron's End he calls "The Loop", the Count has deployed additional mounted troops throughout the northern roads of the County. His cavalrymen appear to be well-armed and traveling in large groups.
A Shireman Diplomat
A 'diplomat' traveling from city to city with Antresian cataphracts and Sternmen huscarls from the County of Kent in the Kingdom of Eastfordshire arrived in Nevasa this week, though they have been dotting around the area, getting drunk and fraternizing with the locals. The nobleman himself is named Sir Jonas of Kent and is the son of the Count of Kent. He is requesting an audience with the Count of Dirk while he is in the area.
"There's WHAT in the woods?"
Eerie noises are heard in the forest near the road wrapping south around Skafith's Peaks. Some say the source of the disturbances are large burrowing creatures, others say that the creatures climb the trees and are covered in tentacles.
Gnoll Butchers!
A large group of Gnolls attacked the adventurers sent to map out the passage between the Barony of Aberdeen and the Mountainhome. They were brutal and outnumbered the adventurers greatly. Only one adventurer survived to tell the tale, though he was missing a hand. They were ambushed and weren't sure where the Gnolls came from.
