First major battle this week played out! Count Zach's forces were... well, I will let you read it in the posts for this week. I have noticed more and more inactivity from players, which is my fault, but no matter what, it is still a bummer. The game might wrap up within the next few weeks, as long as the major threads begin to wrap up. Hopefully the players that are perhaps in a more strenuous peace will arm themselves and perhaps break free from that peace and start entertaining themselves.
Dwarves Making Camp Outside Thaim
An army of dwarves is amassing outside of Thaim, with tents from all the major clans being put up and their clansdwarves preparing their weapons for war. Many suspect that they are preparing to march upon the elves to the south!
Orcs Marching on Castle Moor!
Legions of orcs have been spotted marching towards Castle Moor this week! Their ranks are filled with goblin and orc infantry, goblin warg riders, packs of wargs, and hobgoblins wielding shortbows! This is a great concern to the County of Dirk as well as the Hochmoor Barony.
The Count's Forces arrive at Castle Moor
Hearing the news first, the Count of Dirk mobilized his forces, riding out to meet the orcs past Castle Moor, while bringing his infantrymen to Castle Moor as apparent reinforcements.
Battle of the Lowlands [024.017]
A screening force of medium and heavy cavalry bearing the banner of Count Zach scouted out the road north-east of Castle Moor, meeting a large group of goblin warg riders as well as a pack of wargs. They attempted to pull back, but the wargs managed to catch up, forcing an unpitched battle on both sides. It was a decisive victory for the Forces of Man, who managed to slaughter many of the goblins and rout the packs of wargs. Rumors have it that Count Zach is planning on pressing on into the Moorlands to finish off the foul greenskin horde!
Baron Johann Preparing for War!
The once diplomatically absent Baron of Hochmoor is reportedly preparing for war against Baron "Black" Karl and the Barony of Thornwick! They have repeatedly contracted the raiders from the Northlands led by the Prince Leif Bjornsen as well, preparing for all-out war with the Baron! He apparently frowns quite heavily upon the people of Thornwick, and has called to all the Barons who wish to side with him in this war to take back "his land". His forces are amassing at the city of Alexandria.
Civil Unrest in Aberdeen
With the impending war between Baron Johann and Baron Karl combined with the perceived unfair taxes in Aberdeen, the people of the City of Aberdeen are beginning to become quite rowdy, demanding the Count to choose a side in the conflict and lower taxes, which are seemingly nonsensical and unconnected demands, but Peasants have never exactly been smart.
