The group, now in Ragman's hideout, are preparing for his point defense mission. They have been tasked with defending a mission where Ragman's men will drain fuel from a fuel tank, which will be a lengthy task. He is worried they will get ambushed for the fuel. They are prepared to do this mission.
Their plan is to head out in the night (~2230 hours) to prepare the defenses and scout out buildings, before hunkering down and shooting the flare to summon the fuel men to take the fuel. They head out and begin scouting out, first looking towards the Power Station to the south. They made their way toward it, clearing everything.
Moving into the power station, the group come across an open door. Medoyed spots an open door, as well as a staircase and two cameras with power. The group move to close in on the door, however, Medoyed stays in the first room. Sneaking into the room, Berkut finds a not-so-bright scavenger, really focused on trying to get a coffee maker to work. He gets hit with the blunt of Berkut's axe to the back of his head. He is knocked to the floor. He was then tied up and moved to the couch, with duct tape over his mouth.
Moving into the room to the south, they sprint in and eviscerate the two men in it. They then look around, and see many more cameras that are on and tracking them. Priyatel destroyed one of the cameras, and on his way to destroy more, one of the cameras was purposefully not looking at him. He lost his motivation to destroy the cameras, but was still cautious of it.
They begun looting the building, but during it, the group heard a yelp from Medoyed. His finger got caught in a mouse trap while looting a cabinet. They wasted their time due to this distraction. They also took an SKS in poor condition off of one of the Scavs as well as a pack of cigarettes and a ream of paper. Priyatel then went to interrogate the now conscious bandit.
The man began shuffling around and screaming, though to no avail. Priyatel promised to not hurt him, with the bandit responding with louder shuffling and screaming. Priyatel then removed the duct tape, and engaged in diplomatic procedures. The man was calmed, but spoke like some sort of junkie, typical of most scavs. Priyatel told the group to go outside once they were done looting the cabinets in one room left unchecked. As him and the junkie went outside, the junkie pointed out that the car furthest to the left in the parking lot had a car bomb in it. They brushed this off.
They regrouped outside to climb up a ladder onto the roof of the building. The roof had some sandbags, which is normal for buildings in Tarkov. They made the captured scav go up first. He got up fine. Berkut then followed. As he climbed the ladder, a rung broke. Then his foot, slamming down, broke the rest of the rungs, as he came clattering to the ground.
The junkie hysterically laughed as this happened, but the group did not find it funny. They then tried making a pyramid of men, to let Medoyed climb up. The first time, he fell, but took no harm from it. The second time, he almost got all the way up, before the junkie's boot kicked him in the face-visor, sending him three yards down. This could have broken his arm, but somehow, it didn't.
All the while, the junkie was laughing. Medoyed, getting up, was rather angered at this. He threatened to throw one of his impact grenades right at the scav, who quickly made sure to not be within sight of the floor so that would not happen. Priyatel, as the group leader and mediator, calmed him down and told him to ignore the junkie.
The fireteam then cleared out the area, and moved furniture from inside the power station to block the west-most road on the north side. Priyatel also decided to try to break a car window and move a car into the way of the outlet to the parking lot. However, breaking the car window made the car alarm somehow go off. It went off for thirty seconds, while Priyatel tried to figure out how to disconnect a car battery in vain. (Seriously kids, take Driving (Automobiles) IQ/A [1].)
After that, they decided to shoot the flare off, as everyone knew of their location anyway. Within minutes, a group of two scavengers came from the south-west. These scavs were no match for Priyatel's SVDS however, and with one shot, one of them had their head exploded like a watermelon. The other dropped his SKS and ran.
Soon after, a group of five heavily armed soldiers came from the south-east. One had a thick shield protecting the others, who were stacked up behind him. They all had nice weapons and equipment; a good score if they could fight them off. Priyatel decided to throw a RGO grenade at them, hitting the ground right next to where the supposed car bomb was. This caused it to go off.
The explosion that followed leveled half the building that it sat next to and obliterated the enemy operators. The fireteam took damage, though luckily due to cover, nothing extreme. As soon as they regained focus, they heard screaming. Checking on the allies, they realized it was coming from the roof, where the scav from earlier was still located.
Once they had checked themselves for wounds, they resumed their watch, and saw to it that the allied forces took the fuel from the fuel tank without issue. They moved back to Ragman's place without issue, though they were all annoyed that the gear from the scavengers was gone. They were paid with safe access to the next region, the Customs and Immigration zone, as well as the location of Skier. When they got back, Dyavol, who they planned to reconvene with here in the morning, was nowhere to be seen.
GM's Notes
Holy cow, that explosion was a lot worse than I thought it would be. I had the car bomb be pointed out as an obvious trap that could happen later, but I forgot HOW bad I wrote the explosion to be. Also, if you're wondering about the skip from Session 4 to 6, I lost my notes from Session 5, and it was short and quite boring, so I thought to skip it. All they did was make their way to Ragman's hideout.
